“I’m a little bit rock n’ roll. I’m a little bit hula hoop. And I’m all about living a healthy, amazing, fulfilling life.” ~ Dr. Lisa
I want to share something with you. It’s a belief at the core of my practice as a Naturopathic Doctor and something you may not know. You have the potential to be amazingly healthy. It’s in you and in your body – health is our natural balanced state of being, and I want to help you get there.
Balance is the key to health. Recognizing where your life or body has gotten out of balance and knowing how to regain balance is the most important part of the journey to health. And I can help you do it.
My personal health journey has taken me through chronic digestive complaints, stress-induced conditions, complicated pregnancies and a whole lot more. But my faith in the healing potential of my body and the desire to achieve balance has helped me overcome these imbalances and learn the important lessons that my body has to teach.
As a Naturopathic Doctor my passion is working with families – men and women, children and teens who want to find balance and uncover the potential for amazing health in their lives. I focus on fertility (for both men and women), pregnancy, women’s hormone balancing, infant and children’s health and adolescent health in my practice because these are times of life where we have an amazing opportunity to optimize health. Working with pregnancy and fertility allows me to optimize health of current and future generations. And working with children and teens allows me to impact health of our future leaders. It’s incredibly rewarding!
My practice is a fusion of the art and science of Naturopathic Medicine. The art is in recognizing the messages from the body – connecting the dots between seemingly unrelated symptoms and understanding where this imbalance is coming from, and why. The science is in the use of natural medicines – dietary changes, stress-management techniques, nutritional supplements, botanical medicine, acupuncture – and in understanding when to use them, how to use them safely, and when to stop using them because they are no longer needed.
Aside from Naturopathic Medicine my passions include live music, hula hooping and anything creative! I am also an enthusiastic learner and read daily and attend conferences on women’s and children’s health frequently. I have a degree in Health Sciences (BHSc) from the University of Western Ontario and I received my Naturopathic Doctor (ND) designation from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2007.
