IGNITE Your Health: A Personalized Hormone and Health Strategy

from burnt out to fired up

You don’t need more health information. You need a strategy for figuring out what actually matters.

You’ve probably already done your homework.

You’ve Googled your symptoms. You’ve listened to the podcasts. You’ve bought the supplements. Maybe you’ve even asked ChatGPT what your hormones are doing.

And yet you’re still tired. Your sleep is a mess. Your mood is all over the place. Your periods have become unpredictable. Your weight has changed. Your brain feels foggy. Or you simply don’t feel like yourself anymore.

This is where I come in.

I’m Dr. Lisa Watson, a Naturopathic Doctor and Certified Menopause Practitioner who has spent more than 18 years helping women understand and treat the complicated health issues that can show up throughout their lives—with a particular focus on hormones, perimenopause and menopause.

My job isn’t to throw everything at you.

It’s to figure out what matters, what doesn’t, what your options are, and what makes sense for you.

Because sometimes you need better nutrition.

Sometimes you need targeted testing.

Sometimes you need to address thyroid function, nutrient status, sleep, stress or metabolic health.

And sometimes your hormones really do need some help—including prescription hormone therapy when it’s appropriate.

That’s why IGNITE isn’t a one-size-fits-all protocol.

It’s a clinical process for turning your health story into a plan you can actually act on.

READY TO IGNITE YOUR HEALTH? Then let’s do this.

INTERVIEW

Start with the whole story—not just the symptom.

Our first conversation is about more than what’s bothering you today.

We’ll talk about your symptoms, health history, hormones, periods, medications and supplements, nutrition, sleep, stress, lifestyle and goals.

And yes, you get 70–80 minutes to tell me what’s actually been going on.

Because context matters.

The goal isn’t to collect more information. It’s to identify the information that changes what we do next.

Gather Information

Your symptoms are data.

Brain fog. Insomnia. Mood changes. Weight gain. Fatigue. Chaotic periods. PMS. Hot flashes. Anxiety. Low libido.

These symptoms don’t exist in isolation.

I’ll look at the patterns—not just the individual complaints—to determine which systems and contributing factors deserve a closer look.

We aren’t chasing every possible imbalance. We’re looking for the clues that can change the plan.

Navigate

Know where you’re going—and what to do when the route changes.

We’re taking this journey together, but you shouldn’t have to navigate it with a map from Google and a pile of conflicting health advice.

Once we understand what’s happening, we create a clear roadmap for what comes next.

What are we addressing first? What can wait? What does success actually look like? And how will we know if the plan is working?

We’ll establish priorities, milestones and measurable outcomes, then adjust the strategy as your symptoms, health and circumstances change.

When laboratory testing is appropriate, we’ll use it purposefully—to answer specific clinical questions, track progress and help guide our next decisions.

No throwing everything at the problem. No endless supplements just because they’re “good for you.” No staying on a plan that isn’t working.

Just a thoughtful, evolving strategy for getting you where you want to go.

Investigate

Test when testing will change the answer.

Functional testing can be useful.

It can also be completely unnecessary.

I don’t believe in ordering a giant panel of tests just because we can.

Depending on your history and goals, we may use targeted laboratory testing to investigate hormones, thyroid function, nutrient status, metabolic health or other areas that warrant a closer look.

Sometimes the smartest test is the one we don’t order.

The point is not to collect data.

The point is to make better clinical decisions.

Team Building

Good healthcare is rarely a solo sport.

Sometimes the best next step isn’t another supplement.

You may benefit from working with a physiotherapist, chiropractor, massage therapist, counsellor, coach, pelvic-floor specialist or another healthcare professional.

When that’s the case, I’ll help you identify the right people to bring onto your team.

The goal is better care—not keeping every piece of your healthcare under one roof.

Evaluate and Evolve

Now we decide what actually deserves your attention.

This is where information becomes action.

Together we’ll create a treatment strategy based on your symptoms, priorities, health history and findings.

That might include nutrition, lifestyle changes, supplements, botanical medicine, acupuncture or other naturopathic therapies.

And when appropriate, it can also include prescription treatment—including bioidentical menopausal hormone therapy or desiccated thyroid.

You don’t have to choose between “natural” and “medical.”

We choose the tools that make sense for you.

And remember…Your plan isn’t carved in stone.

Your body changes.

Your hormones change.

Your life changes.

So we monitor what’s happening and adjust accordingly.

We may use symptom tracking, questionnaires, laboratory testing or other measurable markers to determine whether we’re moving in the right direction.

If something isn’t working, we change it.

Good healthcare evolves.
