Children and Teens

Children

Children have a vitality second to none! As a Naturopathic Doctor it is a pleasure to work with children of all ages, from infancy through adulthood, supporting their vital natures and allowing them to achieve their full potential in mind, body, spirit and health.

Naturopathic Medicine can be an important part of health care for all children whether or not they have specific health concerns. Naturopathic Doctors are experts in nutrition and healthy development and can keep you educated on the changing needs of growing children.

Some concerns that occur in childhood that can benefit from Naturopathic Medicine are:

Teens

My naturopathic practice has a focus on adolescent health, an age group that is underserviced in all forms of health care. The needs of teens are unique – they are not the same as children or adults. Recognizing the remarkable changes that occur during the years of 10 to 18, a Naturopath can help smooth the transition through those years and encourage healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

One of the most important aspects of health care in the teen years is mental emotional health. As a Naturopathic Doctor I can help teens to address the many aspects of their wellbeing that influence how they feel about themselves and others. Naturopathic Medicine can offer an alternative or a support for mainstream treatment of mood disorders during adolescence.

Naturopathic Medicine is well suited to the unique needs of teens. Some of the concerns that can be effectively treated with Naturopathy include:
